Supporting Coursework: Marine Biology majors should have a broad academic background, especially in the sciences. Students will be able to select individual courses that best meet their goals and satisfy degree requirements, but the following represent general recommendations for a solid Marine Biology degree. It is important for Marine Biology majors to have general Chemistry (CH111 & CH111L). Math skills are important for marine biologists, and classes such as Statistics (MA105) are recommended.  A biodiversity course is recommended (BI108 & BI108L).
